Is a book still a book when it is used for decoration?

Is a book still a book when it is used to style an image for oneself?

I think yes to these, but I find it inadequate that we do not have the language to truly separate ‘book’ as a physical object from ‘book’ as an act of creating, consuming, experiencing or sharing.

LOL – I like the books as decoration photo. Have never thought of using books in that manner. Of course, I only hang onto books I really want to re-read more than once.

In my student days, I used books as furniture a lot (mainly as coffee tables scattered throughout my studio apartment). Not all that convenient as these were books I referred to so would have to move lamps or mugs to get to them! 🙂
