Rocking the Mother Jones style, this tidy and visually striking summary of the Public Library Funding & Technology Access Study 2011-2012 is sure to turn some eyes.
What I like about this infographic is that it does not include only the dramatic negatives: the budget cuts and all the political battles that entails, the struggle to keep the supply in line with the demand. It is easy to get in the mind-set of victimization of libraries if one focuses solely on that. Public libraries make it work. When times get tough, they get creative and adapt; or perhaps I should say the librarians get creative and adapt.
